Adaptec Delivers Continuous Data Protection Software for Automated Backup of Client Data

(NasdaqNM:ADPT - News), a global leader in storage solutions, today announced the availability of StorAssure Personal Edition software, an easy-to-use and cost-effective continuous data protection (CDP) solution for automatically backing up files from client desktops or laptops to a network attached Snap Server. StorAssure runs unattended in the background, saving file changes as they occur and giving individuals, small office and remote office users the security of knowing that their valuable data is being protected.

StorAssure is optimized for the mobile workforce, providing automatic offline logging, network detection, and battery saving features that laptop users require. If a laptop is lost or files are accidentally deleted or corrupted, StorAssure guides the user through the process of recovering files and restoring data quickly and easily.

Adaptec StorAssure Personal Edition software will be available in March through distribution partners and the Adaptec online store.
