“Our customers have been asking for a unique product like this and we are thrilled to be able to finally offer a low cost, easy-to-use service like Spare Backup,” said Bill Ernst, Office Manager of Computer Repair Guys, Inc.
Commenting on the agreement, Cery Perle, CEO of Newport International Group, stated: “This is another opportunity for bundling our services, as we continue to have focus efforts in the growing `remote PC repair market.’ Bundling our services at multiple points where the end user is, further strengthens our initiative to increase the public’s awareness and access to Spare Backup products.”
The Spare Backup Solution
Spare is a fully automated remote backup solution. It starts by scanning a user’s hard drive, including the desktop and e-mail programs, for files and the application components necessary to produce an exact replica of the original. It then transports the data, including new and revised files, daily to twin data centers on both U.S. coasts. Files are triple-encrypted and users can access them from any broadband, Web-connected computer anywhere.
Spare Backup service costs $9.99 per month, including 1 gigabyte of online storage, and is available for a 45 day/500 MB free trial at (www.sparebackup.com), as well as from its reseller channel.
