Iron Mountain Digital Eliminates Backup Burden

Iron Mountain Digital, the technology arm of Iron Mountain Incorporated, has launched a range of Managed Service and enhanced support options for enterprise customers.

The new services will manage and control deployments of the company’s backup technologies for laptop, desktop PCs and servers.

Iron Mountain Digital will provide services ranging from enhanced support through to a complete managed service (including infrastructure). The team works with each customer to create a bespoke solution to fit their individual needs. This offers an alternative to in-house management of the application and infrastructure, reducing total costs and providing expertise to ensure first class management and high service availability.

The service management team will manage the implementation and the ongoing monitoring and servicing of its Connected® Backup/PC and LiveVault server backup products. Hardware can either be housed on site at a customer’s offices, or at Iron Mountain Digital’s secure data centres in the UK.

Iron Mountain Digital’s market leading online data protection products provide automated backup, encryption and off-site vaulting of electronic data.

“Our in-house team already runs and manages services for over 300,000 users of our Connected Backup/PC technology. This investment enables us to offer our enterprise customers lower costs and complexity in delivering services based on our technologies,” said Nick Cater, head of northern Europe, Iron Mountain Digital.
