Back in July, we wrote about Mozy - which gives users 2GB of free storage space to backup files. We were impressed with their service, especially because they have a referral system setup so that every 4 people you invite and get to sign-up, you will receive 1GB in space. Recently, we received their newsletter which gives some details on what’s new, and thought it was worth sharing.

Restoring files couldn’t get any easier.  In Windows, all you have to do is right click from locations like My Documents and Desktop and select ‘restore previous version.’  If you right clicked on a white space within a backed-up folder, it would say ‘restore files in folder.’ This simple process makes restoring files so easy.

Besides their free 2GB of storage, they also offer unlimited backup and restores for only $4.95 per month.  Previously, we believe they offered 50GB for the same $4.95.  Stacked up with other services such as XDrive, Mozy comes out on top in a lot of different areas. To the right is a nice graphic that compares Mozy with other services.  They have a complete online support guide what will answer any questions that you have.

Remember, you can get 2GB of free storage! Feel free to use Ryan’s referral link (this is it), I’m sure he won’t mind ;)  The new look for the site as well as the file restoring system makes Mozy a great backup solution!
