Paragon Software Group and Lifeboat sign Memorandum of Understanding to launch Japanese Joint Venture: Paragon Software K.K.

 
Buggingen and Tokyo, May 8, 2007 – Paragon Software Group (PSG), the leading provider of innovative technologies and software solutions in storage management and data safety and Lifeboat, the leading software publisher in Japan, today announced that two companies have signed an MOU to form a joint venture: Paragon Software, based in Tokyo, the new company will publish and distribute PSG’s storage management and data safety products and will provide high quality support service in Japan.
Paragon Software plans to start the operation of the new company in July, 2007.
“At the moment we are eager to serve increasing number of customers requests both for our imaging technology and for our boxed products. They are interested in our Flagship products Partition Manager and Drive Backup – one of few really Vista™ Compatible products on the market. Since many of our customers inquire about technology integration, we have to provide local development-level support for our customers” , said Konstantin Komarov, CEO of Paragon Software Group.

The newly formed joint venture will provide storage backup, partitioning, deployment products based on PSG’s innovative technology, and technical support primarily to corporate customers, technology partners and publishers.  The joint venture will achieve maximum sales through corporate channels by leveraging of Lifeboat’s marketing and sales.
