Memorandum of Understanding Signed – Office opened in July 2007

Freiburg and Tokyo, July, 2007 – Paragon Software Group (PSG), the leading provider of innovative technologies and software solutions in the field of storage management and data safety and Lifeboat, the leading software publisher/distributor in Japan signed an agreement to form a joint venture: Paragon Software. The new company, based in Tokyo, publishes and distributes PSG’s storage management and data safety products and provides high quality support service in Japan.

“Paragon’s product lines are enjoying immense popularity within the Japanese marketplace. We’re receiving increasing requests for both our imaging technology and our consumer boxed products as well. The increased interest is in our Flagship products Partition Manager and Drive Backup, which are the only Vista™ compatible products on the marketplace, at this time” said Konstantin Komarov, CEO of PSG. “As many of our new requests may require some type of technology integration, we feel that the time is right to provide local support for our customers”, concluded Komarov.

The newly formed joint venture provides storage backup, partitioning, deployment products based on PSG’s innovative technology, and technical support primarily to corporate customers, technology partners and publishers.  Joint venture is planning to achieve maximum sales through corporate channels by leveraging of Lifeboat’s marketing and sales.
