PROVO, Utah, July 17 /PRNewswire/ — eFileCabinet, Inc. today announced that its board of directors has named Matt Peterson to serve as the company’s new president and chief executive officer. The appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to continued growth, product innovation and establishing a strong executive team. Founder and former CEO James Blaylock will now serve as chairman of the board.
Mr. Peterson joined eFileCabinet in January, 2007 as chief operating officer. During his tenure as COO, he led the expansion of operations and staff, established processes and controls to support the company’s growth strategy and developed comprehensive business plans to build and cultivate strategic partnerships. Peterson was instrumental in securing the recently announced venture capital investment from Canopy Ventures that will accelerate eFileCabinet’s product development, sales and marketing initiatives.
“The demand is greater than ever for reliable, affordable systems to manage and protect personal and business data — particularly in the wake of natural disasters that occur regularly across the globe,” commented Peterson. “eFileCabinet has established itself as a force in the electronic document management and online backup market by delivering robust end to end solutions. I look forward to building on the company’s record of success and driving a strategic vision for the future that will benefit our customers, partners and employees alike.”
