New Feature Enables Easy Management of Large eDiscovery Projects

HOLMDEL, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Index Engines, the leader in enterprise discovery solutions, today announced the general availability of the Index Manager module. The new feature adds the ability to build one index created by data from multiple ingestion points, and allows the comprehensive search and extraction across this index.

The Index Manager enables Index Engines customers and partners to execute and manage very large and complex jobs, involving multiple tape drives, libraries or network connections simultaneously. This significantly reduces the processing time needed for very large electronic discovery projects. This new feature also allows enterprise IT teams and eDiscovery service providers to manage multiple tape jobs simultaneously.

Time is of the essence when looking for digital evidence to support litigation, said Jim McGann, VP of Marketing for Index Engines. We are working closely with our customers to ensure our products deliver the fastest, most accurate eDiscovery solution for backup data on the market. The Index Manager allows large volumes of data to be indexed and searched at unmatched speeds, for faster more cost-effective legal discovery.

The Index Manager feature provides the ability to scale the indexing and management of tapes and online backup data. With this new feature, many Index Engines appliances can be clustered to catalog, ingest and index data in parallel for large or multiple projects. The Index Manager manages multiple distinct indexes through the GUI interface and allows the ability to create a data structure for many projects. This facilitates the easy management, storage and retrieval of index segments and databases across a tiered architecture of ingestion points.

The Index Manager is generally available with both Index Engines Tape Engine and LAN Engine for management of eDiscovery projects investigating data in both tape and online backup formats. Contact Index Engines for details. Pricing is dependant on configuration.
