   The main thing that appears to be overlooked by people that review these services are that many of the companies above do not have their servers based in the UK. Client data is being stored in foreign lands noticably the USA.

   Also by offering a cheap/free service and gaining over 100,000 users why is anyone surprised that technical emails can take up to 3 days to answer???

   You have to accept that the offering by the likes of Mozy and Carbonite are exactly what they are CHEAP AND CHEERFULL means of storing data off site. I would not be confident that they can be relied upon to handle business critical data.

   I am irritated by the fact that you concentrate on Non UK companies. Why not run a review on UK based business only to help the UK economy as well as define some very good Online data backup companies nearer to home.

   We at Safe Data Storage Limited have been providing an SME solution in the UK for a number of years. We are not the cheapest but likewise we are not the most expensive. We are one of only a handful that provide a fully managed, proactive service targeting SME’s.

   We win a lot of business through recomendation and also when companies try the cheaper/free options and establish the principle and benefits of on line backup they then seek a more professional solution and come to companies such as ours.

   Carbonite and Mozy, despite there bases being overseas, are great for home users as an additional off site backup solution but I would not want to rely on them to restore 50gb of my data/pictures etc to the UK. If I was using a foreign based service for this amount of data I would also copy my data to a USB drive.

   If anyone out there is seeking a business solution then look closer to home and expect to pay for quality of service.

   I use no.6 (Memopal). For me should be at no. 1. Carbonite was not satisfied. Memopal is very good!!!

   I hope rise up position.
