Alliance with BackupAgent Gives Workers on the Go Increased Data Security and Integrity

Through its alliance with BackupAgent, the DS3 DataVaulting Laptop Solution is a lightweight application that is loaded directly onto laptops through a simple software download. Setup and configuration can be accomplished with a few mouse-clicks through templates designed to automatically backup data held on the laptop including corporate, personal and email (PST) files. The easy to use solution backs up laptop files without user intervention or burdensome computer interruptions. The solution also works with disk encryption products such as TrueCrypt. Data restore is accomplished through the local laptop or, if the laptop is unavailable, through a web portal. Four levels of security ensure that only authorized personnel can access and retrieve files through the web portal. Information technology personnel can easily manage accounts and quotas from a single console. Management reports show who is backing up, how much they are backing up and, most importantly, who is not backing up their files.
