DISKS containing personal information about more than 200 patients have gone missing from James Cook University Hospital.

The floppy disks containing patients’ names, addresses, dates of birth, NHS numbers and medical details disappeared from an office at the hospital in Marton Road, Middlesbrough.
A medical secretary alerted managers to the disappearance of the disks, which contained back-up patient discharge information from one of the hospital’s medical wards.
