Provides online backup to flooring specialist’s data

Flooring specialist Amtico International has chosen Iron Mountain Digital to provide offsite backup to all its laptops to ensure access to data even when the PCs fail.

Amtico ran a pilot of Iron Mountain’s software Connected Backup for PC in June 2008, before adopting it in the UK and Germany. Connected Backup keeps enterprise data offsite in Iron Mountain’s underground data vaults. It provides automatic online data backup and recovery. Users can recover the data from a secure web portal in case of any data loss.

Richard Ellis, sales manager UK and Ireland at Iron Mountain Digital, said: “Protecting data is a critical process for businesses and they need to have full confidence that information can be retrieved should a laptop fail. Ensuring that back-ups are automated and then reported clearly to an organisation ensures compliance.”
