Focus on Enabling Partners and Development of Core Business

Simi Valley, CA, USA - NovaStor (www.novastor.com), a pioneer in data protection solutions announced that it has sold its offsite backup service business to long time partner Data Storage Corporation (www.dscorp.net).

Effective immediately, customers of NovaStor’s offsite backup service will be transferred to Data Storage Corporation. The foundation of the service will continue to operate on NovaStor’s industry leading offsite backup technology and the transition will appear seamless to end users of the service. NovaStor will continue to maintain a close working relationship with Data Storage Corporation and will be available at any time to support end users during this transition.

NovaStor’s decision to remove itself from the Software as a Service (SaaS) offsite backup business model was twofold. The first was to remove any perception of competition with its partners and second, it allows NovaStor to focus on what it does best, which is developing software to enable partners to increase value-added revenues from their existing core customer base.

In the selection process NovaStor’s top priority was to make certain that loyal customers of their offsite backup service would be passed on to a partner that could equal if not surpass NovaStor’s level of service. . At minimum, the candidates were expected to possess several years’ experience operating a successful offsite backup business utilizing NovaStor’s software, have experience maintaining a world class data center and be capable of providing a level of customer service second to none. Data Storage Corporation, in business since 2001, was selected from a competitive group of NovaStor’s partners.
