Online Backup Service Provider CEO Maliciously Cyber Attacked

From our Editor: BackupReview.info received a detailed email from a person, maliciously attacking Tom O’Connor a few days ago. We replied to the sender, but the email bounced back as it was sent from a non-existing Gmail account using a fake email routing shield site.

We believe that the email was a personal attack on Tom. We absolutely hate such cowardly attacks on any one who is trying to make a difference.

We did see the video a couple of days ago, as posted by an impostor, and we did not find anything significant that the impostor claimed. It was just a personal attack.

The video has since been removed by YouTube. We stand with the online backup community and as such we don’t tolerate any kind of personal attacks against anyone in the industry.

Dublin, Ireland - September 24, 2009 - Tom O’Connor has finally decided to break his silence for the first time today over a cyber terrorism attack annihilating his character and business credibility for the past week.

The offending YouTube video, made from photos removed from Tom’s personal social media sites, has received nearly 200,000 hits as of this morning.

27-year-old Tom O’Connor, Founder of DataBackup.ie, is gutted to be breaking records for all the wrong reasons and is shocked that the video is No. 1 in Ireland this week.

Tom is now the butt of over 2,700 hate messages - some urging him to commit suicide.
