Private Cloud Remote Backup System Receives Near Perfect Score in Comprehensive Product ReviewMarch 09, 2010 - COLUMBUS, Ohio –(EON: Enhanced Online News) — 3X Systems, the automatic offsite backup company for SMBs, today announced that the 3X Remote Backup Appliance® (3X RBA) has been named a Most Valuable Product (MVP) by Redmond Magazine. The 3X RBA received perfect scores for installation, ease-of-use, and administration in a comprehensive review of its capabilities that appears in the March issue. Redmond cited the 3X RBA for its unique ability to enable enterprises to set up a private backup cloud in order to become their own backup service provider. “I love the idea of being able to drop in the 3X RBA at a client site, get a good set of initial backups for client machines and then move RBA to an off-site location, providing a much better backup strategy,” said product reviewer Brian Freedman. “The 3X RBA is an appliance that makes it quick and easy for you to back up not only your workstations but also file servers, Microsoft Exchange and SQL Servers.” In assessing the 3X RBA’s ease-of-use and administration, Freedman said: “What 3X has done best is make it easy to define rule sets, schedules and retention policies. It doesn’t matter if you know very little about what the best practices are in these areas; out of the box the product comes with some good templates that can define your entire backup strategy for you.” The Redmond Magazine MVP designation is awarded to products that receive a score of 9 or higher (out of 10) in a product review. The 3X RBA received a score of 9.6. Products are rated on a scale of 1-10 for installation, features, ease-of-use, administration, and documentation. The complete review is available at: “The 3X RBA is designed to provide businesses with the benefits of a cloud backup service, while eliminating the drawbacks including recurring and mounting monthly fees, and slow seed backups,” said Alan Arman, CEO of 3X Systems. “This MVP award from Redmond magazine validates the power of our private cloud architecture, and how easy it is for virtually anyone with a basic understanding of computers to set-up and manage the product.” About 3X Systems Contacts |
