PALM DESERT, Calif., March 22, 2010 — /PRNewswire/ — New AirSet service, www.airset.com, makes it easy for anyone to manage all the important groups in their life by setting up a network of servers in the cloud.
Each user gets their own Personal Cloud Computer and can add Group Cloud Computers to their Cloud Network.
Each cloud computer has an expandable hard disk, a rich suite of web applications, and acts as a web server publishing content 24/7.
The basic service is free, supported by advertising, but at $2.95/month, members can upgrade to Personal Premium to remove ads, have added security, and expand their online storage to 5GB.
The Personal Cloud Computer also serves as a data hub, automatically synchronizing information and content across an owner’s devices.
An unlimited number of people can be invited to join a Group Cloud Computer to share files, coordinate schedules, collaborate on documents, participate in online discussions, and conference real-time via Skype.
By providing a rich, flexible, and extensible group environment, AirSet envisions each customer managing all of their important groups in one place — easily sharing information across the cloud network and even viewing a combined address book and calendar.
“My company, family, extended family, son’s school… all the important groups in my life are organized in AirSet. I can finally manage the chaos,” said Brian Dougherty, founder of AirSet who will demonstrate how he uses AirSet at the conference.
“The a-ha moment for me,” said Matt Marshall, Executive Producer of DEMO, “was when I realized that I could really use this service. Between DEMO, VentureBeat, my family, and a host of other projects, I need a way to manage everything in one place and AirSet could be the answer.”
