Cedar Rapids, Iowa, July 29, 2010 â€“ SecurityCoverage joined the Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP), and will be provided with vulnerability information in advance of Microsoft’s monthly security update releases.

The Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP) is a new program from the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) that provides vulnerability information earlier, security software providers can give customers potential improvements to security protection features, such as third-party intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, or security software signatures.
The MSRC is a leading security risk analysis and management center that helps protect Microsoft customers by delivering updates and guidance in a timely and authoritative manner. “Our partners share our passion for industry collaboration to protect a world full of Internet users.
