(“BBSS”) and SugarSync, Inc., makers of the award-winning SugarSync file sync, backup and sharing service, today signed the first phase of an agreement regarding a comprehensive business alliance to market and distribute the SugarSync service in Japan.
BBSS and SugarSync have formed a business partnership to aggressively bring the multi-platform storage service accessible from anywhere with any device to the fast-growing market in Japan.
With this partnership, the companies aim to increase the awareness, user base, and revenue of SugarSync’s service in Japan via the website: www.sugarsync.jp, which launched today. Local customer support for paid customers in Japanese will be added in October, and the companies also plan to support Japanese payment for the service by the end of the year.
BBSS is providing online security and backup services to a large number of consumers in Japan. With this experience and expertise, BBSS will actively deploy the SugarSync service to bring a useful, much needed service to all Japanese Internet users.
