Seattle, WA, May 05, 2011 –/–FiberCloud has announced the addition of cloud servers using Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V to their line of data center applications. FiberCloud is adding its cloud servers to allow customers to gain a scalable server solution that reduces overhead costs.

Hyper-V works with FiberCloud’s existing infrastructure and managed colocation platform to provide customers with an easily integrated Windows-based virtual server solution. Hyper-V was deployed with Microsoft’s Dynamic Data Center Toolkit for Hosting Service Providers, enabling easy integration with FiberCloud’s existing products, and providing customers with simple integration with other Microsoft applications.

“We’re excited by FiberCloud’s move to launch cloud services on top of their strong foundation of multiple data centers,” said Hyder Ali, Hosting Industry Director for Microsoft Communications Sector. “Microsoft supports partners looking to take advantage of new business opportunities to deliver high-value services to end customers.”

“By launching our cloud servers using Hyper-V, we were able to gain a flexible product with a fast time to market. This will help our customers across the board with scalable, cost efficient server space without initial capital, “ said Susan DeFlorio, COO of FiberCloud.

FiberCloud is providing cloud servers to businesses nationwide as part of their managed services solutions. They currently offer colocation and managed colocation to customers, as well as cloud computing and connectivity solutions located in their privately owned and operated data centers.
