KineticD Online Data Backup Expert Tips: The KineticD Terms and Conditions; Important Facts in our Fine Print

We see it all the time, upon signing up for any new online service or installing any new software, we are presented with a document called the “Terms and Conditions” that we are encouraged to read in full before signing on the digital dotted line. Usually we hastily scroll down to the bottom, wanting nothing more than to find the “accept” button and move on, and with many minor products and services that we install on our computers this could be considered a more or less reasonable approach in order to save time. However, with other services that we purchase that weigh more heavily in importance, familiarizing yourself with the Terms and Conditions can be quite a valuable and informative thing to do, and an act that should indeed be performed before proceeding to checkout.

With this in mind, let’s take a brief look at KineticD’s Terms and Conditions document, which can be found here on our website:

First off, we should point out that our Terms and Conditions are separated out into twelve distinct sections so as to make it easier for our clients (and future clients) to find the information that they need. The first section is entitled “The Software Product and Services”, which as its name implies, provides an overview of the service features that we here at KineticD provide for our customers. After that, the document proceeds to lay out the rules for both parties regarding what sort of actions can and cannot be performed with the software, and other intellectual property issues that are very important for any potential user of our services to read carefully. Equally relevant to that is the section that follows, which outlines how our payment system works, and your rights and responsibilities thereof as an end user.

Next are sections that outline what KineticD is and is not responsible for as far as the functioning of the software, and security issues as well (regardless of the fact that the bank grade encryption that we use has never been cracked, the Internet is still an open network, and so we must protect ourselves in case the security of any of our customers’ data is somehow still inexplicably compromised). Other important facts explicitly laid out in our Terms and Conditions include the duration of time in which this agreement will remain in effect, various warranty information, and a special message to end users that work for the government of the United States. Lastly, there is a section that outlines the various aspects of KineticD’s referral program, and a few other sections that explain various other provisions that are associated with the overall KineticD/end user agreement.

So there; that wasn’t so bad, was it? Now you have a basic idea of the sort of information contained in our Terms and Conditions, and will probably find it easier to find the sections that you have questions about so that you can be as well informed as possible before signing up for our services. Of course, for any questions that you may have that are not answered by our Terms and Conditions, we request that you contact our 24/7 customer service department for further clarification. After all, the purpose of online data backup is to protect your data from any element that could potentially threaten its safety, and reading our Terms and Conditions before installing our software or using our services serves to protect you, the end user, from misunderstanding what KineticD provides for all of its 40, 000 business users, and also allows us to better serve your enterprise through a more complete understanding of what KineticD is all about.
