Enterprise marketing veteran Kari Seas to lead company’s continued growth in the enterprise data backup space
MINNEAPOLIS, Jun 19, 2012 — /BackupReview.info/ — Code 42 Software Inc., developers of award-winning onsite, offsite and online backup solutions for consumers, businesses and the enterprise, today announced the appointment of Kari Seas as vice president of enterprise marketing. Seas will report to Code 42 CMO Mike Evangelist. With nearly 20 years of experience, Seas will be responsible for managing and growing Code 42′s enterprise-related marketing efforts.
“Kari brings a wealth of business experience, corporate marketing expertise and a proven track record of results that make her a strategic asset to the Code 42 Software team,” said Matthew Dornquast, co-founder and CEO, Code 42 Software. “Her valuable combination of Fortune 500 integrated marketing experience as well as hands-on leadership of growth companies will certainly position Code 42 Software for continued growth and success in the enterprise data backup space.”
Prior to joining Code 42 Software, Seas served as vice president of marketing communications at SwiftKnowledge, a global software provider of business intelligence (BI) technology, where she created innovative corporate marketing, public relations, industry analyst relations and lead generation campaigns. Earlier, Seas spent seven years leading the worldwide, integrated corporate marketing and corporate identity efforts for Stellent Inc., helping to position the company as one of the top enterprise content management vendors in the world. Upon acquiring Stellent in 2007, Oracle Corp. tapped Seas to supervise integrated technology marketing campaigns for its software products. Before Stellent, Seas held a variety of marketing roles at companies including Gartner Institute, Digi International and Globelle.
“I am excited to join the Code 42 Software team and be part of a brand built on technology leadership, ease-of-use and superior quality,” said Seas. “As BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and the Consumerization of IT become the keystones of the new business model, Code 42 is poised to aggressively expand its leadership position in the rapidly evolving enterprise data backup space.”
In 2007, Code 42 Software launched CrashPlan, an easy-to-use, multi-destination backup technology that reinvented data protection for consumers. Just five years later, Code 42 now manages and protects over 150 petabytes of data globally, across three products: CrashPlan for the home; CrashPlan PRO, an online backup solution for SMB; and CrashPlan PROe, a private and public cloud solution for the enterprise. All products offer multi-destination, cross-platform, and continuous protection onsite, offsite and online.
