Depositit and Conveycentric will work with legal firms to help manage their COLP and COFA business continuity requirements

London, UK, July 31, 2012 — / — Conveycentric, risk management specialists to the legal conveyancing sector has signed an agreement with Depositit to provide law firms with a range of business continuity tools from Depositit that meet COLP and COFA requirements.

All firms taking the COLP package from Conveycentric will be offered as part of the all inclusive package an automatic secure online backup service, the Depositit Business SAFE and Emergency ALERT services and also a Phone Divert system.

The COLP package is relevant to law firms of every size and will assist them in meeting the requirements of the SRA and proving their compliance.

Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), who will be responsible for ensuring their firms’ compliance with all its regulatory obligations, and a Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA), who will be responsible for ensuring their firms’ compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules – need to be allocated and in place from 31 July 2012.

The Law Society will be heavily regulating all practices and their nominated Compliance Managers. Conveycentric specialises in the conveyancing and risk management and has put together a COLP and COFA package to reduce strain on new compliance managers and ensure they have what is required when being assessed.
