Fremont, CA, August 01, 2012 — /BackupReview.info/ — Quorum®, the leading provider of one-click backup, recovery and continuity for small to mid-sized businesses, announced it has made significant strides already in 2012. The first half of the year was defined by strong company growth, award recognition, support for systems running Linux OS and more. Combined, these milestones position Quorum for continued growth well into the future.
Company Growth Exceeds Expectations
The addition of a new vice president of engineering also contributed to Quorum’s growth so far this year. Steve Bagby joined Quorum’s executive team in May, bringing with him nearly 30 years of experience. Bagby’s background in technology innovation and bringing new products to market bolsters Quorum’s efforts in ongoing product development.
Award Recognition Underscores Company’s Industry Leadership
In May, and for the second consecutive year, Quorum was shortlisted as a semifinalist for the Business Continuity Awards, which acknowledge excellence in the field of business continuity and operational risk management, in the Most Innovative Product of the Year category.
Finally, Quorum was named a Gold Winner in the Best SMB Software Product category by Tech Awards Circle, which recognizes excellence in technology innovation. Announced in June, this award is also Quorum’s second consecutive by Tech Awards Circle: Last year, the company was named a Bronze Winner in the same category.
Quorum Solution Support for Linux-Based Servers Broadens Appeal
Support for Linux will be available at the end of August. Existing customers will be able to upgrade at that time; the feature will be included in new deployments.
“Already, 2012 has proven to be a banner year for Quorum,” said Larry Lang, CEO, Quorum. “I am extremely pleased with the company’s momentum in just the first six months of the year, and expect continued market share and mindshare thanks to Quorum’s ability to help our clients safeguard their revenue, customers and reputation.”
