Livedrive’s new app lets users store and access files in the cloud from any Windows 8 device

LONDON, UK, Nov. 02, 2012 — / —  Livedrive, an award winning online cloud storage company, has today released a Windows 8 app. The new application makes it easy for customers to upload and download content from the cloud directly to their Windows 8 devices, including Windows RT touch screens.

Windows 8 offers a drastic departure from the typical Windows desktop experience and adds a revolutionary new touch screen interface, making it even easier to view and edit your content.

Livedrive have built on Microsoft’s foundations and have given users the ability to access all of their favourite files stored in the cloud directly from their new devices. The new Livedrive Windows 8 app lets users upload and download data, stream media and share files with other compatible Windows 8 apps.

Livedrive offers its customers between 2,000GB and 5,000GB of cloud storage space from £9.95 per month. The business has already established itself as one of the top paid cloud providers and has previously released successful apps for Apple iOS, Android, and Chrome OS devices. The introduction of the Livedrive Windows 8 app moves the company closers to their goal of enabling customers to access their files on any device.

The Windows 8 application offers several notable key features including:
* Upload and download files within the app
* Music and video streaming – which gives users the ability to play their files stored in the cloud without downloading them
* Admire your photos directly in the app
* Share files with other Windows 8 apps
* Save files directly to Livedrive from other Windows 8 apps
* Place links to Livedrive stored files and folders on your touch screen desktop
