(Nasdaq: SYMC) today celebrates International Corporate Philanthropy Day by announcing over $1 million in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and literacy education grants to non-profit organizations around the globe, including Teach For America, Science Buddies, NPower, Room to Read and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

Providing STEM and literacy education to children and young adults, particularly women and minorities, is a business imperative in order to build a diversified and innovative workforce for the future. Symantec’s grant dedication includes:
