Vembu Online Data Backup Expert Tips: StoreGrid – Reduced RTO for Hosting Providers

The shift in the paradigm for data backup and storage in the web hosting industry has been extraordinary over the past few years. As new backup solutions emerge, hosting providers seek to improve Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and data availability among others since decreasing time-to-recover from disasters is a key factor for any hosting industry. Vembu’s backup and disaster recovery solution is specifically designed to handle the complex environment of Shared Hosting Providers and Web Hosting Providers.

Repository Management:
Vembu has just re-designed the Storage Management for Data Storage to Repository Management. As a part of adding further security to your client’s data, Vembu has modeled this Repository Management. Repository Management is an advanced Volume Management; where you have the ability to lock your client(s) to a particular repository and group multiple volumes to a repository. Volumes can be either a part of NAS/SAN/RAID.

Replication Server:
Here, your entire backup server data is completely replicated to your replication server at your own will. Implicitly, this replication can be done at each Repository Level. So, you have full freedom of replicating data from particular repositories and also the perk of having Repository Management as well for your clients.
