KineticD Online Data Backup Expert Tips: Maximizing Netbooks With Cloud Data Storage

Regardless of the increasing use of tablets and smartphones, when it comes to portable digital devices, netbooks are still continuing to maintain a stronghold in popularity. Lightweight and thus easily portable like other devices in their class, netbooks also usually pack a lesser, but still comparable amount of computing capability to that of full-sized laptops. However, due to their decreased level in overall performance, and their smaller size, battery power on netbooks is usually a lot longer lasting than that of laptops. Moreover, some netbook manufacturers have taken the convenience of netbooks a step further by having them run on more simplified versions of operating systems that feature easy-to-use quick launch tabs for the most commonly accessed applications, such as web browsers and word processing programs.

However, netbooks are, of course, not without their drawbacks. To make these lightweight and smaller computers, many features that are standard on most laptops must be minimalized or eliminated entirely. For this reason, netbooks do not have optical drives, and usually have much less in the way of processor power and internal data storage capacities. In fact, many netbooks only offer an extremely small amount of internal storage, with some of their hard drives being as small as 8 gigabytes! With our increasing data storage needs, these netbooks can obviously get filled up rather quickly. And, in addition to this, even if you can fit all of the files you want onto these devices, most computer users know that system performance inadvertently suffers as hard drives are filled closer and closer to their capacity.

So, how can one enjoy the lightweight, convenient nature of netbooks while still being able to access all of the data that they desire? Well, one key way that netbook users can maximize their ability to access data without having to worry about decreased performance is by storing a copy of their digital files in the cloud in the form of online data backup. Of course, netbook users could choose to backup their data to an external device, such as a thumb drive or an external hard drive, but none of these methods of backup offer 100% protection against malicious elements like computer viruses, physical theft and natural disasters. And, one of the other key advantages of cloud data storage for netbook users comes in another form; that of increased mobile data accessibility.

Since many netbook users cannot keep all of the files that they wish to be able to access on their netbooks, they then must instead resort to storing many of their files on external devices. This means that if they do not happen to have these devices with them they must go without these files while they are on the go. On the contrary, with cloud data storage, netbook users (and, of course, users of tablets and smartphones as well) can enjoy being able to access any file that they have backed up in the cloud from any location that has access to the Internet! Indeed, by backing up their data online, netbook users can not only enjoy seamless, automatic data protection, but they can also be able to overcome the limited storage capacities that are inherent to these relatively stripped-down versions of laptops.

Of course, we here at KineticD are well aware of all of the advantages that cloud data storage can bring to mobile digital devices of all kinds, and we also know that nowhere is remote data accessibility more important than in the increasingly mobile world of business. With over 10 years experience in the online data storage industry, our 100% data recovery track record, uncrackable 448-bit Blowfish data encryption and unbeatable customer support, we think that you’ll like what KineticD can do for your company’s online data backup and remote data accessibility needs.
