Box Joins the ABA Member Advantage Program

LOS ALTOS, CA – Nov 14, 2013 — / – Box today announced a new ecosystem of partners to continue its momentum serving legal customers. The company unveiled a number of new legal partner applications, as well as major integrations with Guidance Software’s EnCase®eDiscovery product and iManage’s document management system via Intapp’s Integration Builder. Box also announced that it was selected to participate in the American Bar Association (ABA) Advantage program.

“The legal services industry is changing rapidly due to online access to legal information and customer demand for more direct engagement and alternative fee payments,” said Whitney Bouck, senior vice president and general manager of enterprise at Box. “For law firms to remain competitive they need to operate more quickly and at a lower cost, and there’s a huge opportunity to leverage cloud technology to do this. With our new ecosystem of partners, Box is helping to transform how information is captured, managed and shared, improving client relations, response time and lawyer productivity.”

In the past year, Box’s sales in the legal industry grew more than 150 percent, with organizations like Fowler White Boggs, Updike, Kelly and Spellacy, the Law Offices of David McQuade Leibowitz and Mandell Menkes LLC joining the company’s growing roster of legal services customers. These new customers, as well as many other long time Box users at Perkins Coie and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, use Box to collaborate internally and externally, manage and share legal information, and access legal documents on mobile devices.

Box and Guidance Software integration
Box is announcing a new relationship with Guidance Software, the World Leader in Digital Investigations™, to offer its EnCase eDiscovery solution to Box customers. The EnCase eDiscovery integration with Box will allow law firms and in-house counsel to search, collect, and preserve electronically stored information (ESI) maintained in Box. Using the Box API, EnCase eDiscovery can quickly scan Box for relevant ESI, provide fast and centralized access to data for all parties involved and support a process for retention and deletion of data relevant in legal matters. This eliminates multiple manual steps and allows companies to respond to legal matters much faster, which is imperative during litigations and regulatory requests.

Box and iManage integration via Intapp’s Integration Builder
Box is also announcing an integration with iManage through Intapp’s Integration Builder. Last January, Box announced a partnership with Intapp, the leading provider of information security software for law firms, to offer compliance and control over documents shared via Box. Today, Box and Intapp are giving law firms a bridge between their legacy document management system, iManage, and Box. With the Box iManage integration via Intapp’s Integration Builder, law firms can extend their on-premise document management system to the cloud, access content through mobile devices and collaborate externally. With this integration, Box and Intapp are helping firms better serve clients, manage a more mobile practice and work with colleagues more seamlessly.

ABA Advantage Program with 50GB Promotion
Box was selected to participate in the ABA Advantage program, which provides ABA members with benefits, technology and services to advance their legal practice.
