Every year, UK-based Storage Magazine focuses on storage related technologies, including backup, disaster recovery, SAN/NAS storage systems, flash storage, cloud storage and other IT-related technologies in the prestigious “Storage Awards.” The 2014 Storage Awards (aka: Storries) recognize the IT industry’s top leaders in data protection, disaster recovery, storage hardware and other emerging technologies.
In the race for the 2014 “Storries,” Asigra has been nominated for its cloud-based data recovery software. The nomination as a finalist is based on Asigra’s Recovery License Model®, the industry’s first recovery-based pricing model for cloud backup and recovery. In the DR and Backup Product of the Year category, Asigra is up against 26 other nominees, including EMC, Symantec and CommVault. Asigra is also a finalist for Cloud Enabler of the Year and up against EMC, Rackspace, VMware and others in that category.
“Asigra extends beyond the boundaries of traditional data protection and brings innovations that increase the security, performance cost effectiveness and reach of backup infrastructure,” said David Farajun, CEO, Asigra. “Our recovery-based pricing model returns to enterprises the control they need to keep backup costs low and predictable even as data volumes rise. This has increased our value proposition in the backup space as both a leader in technology and business innovation.”
The final day of voting for the Storage Award winners is June 2nd – IT professionals are invited to vote now at http://www.storagemagazine.co.
