Hybrid IT technology company recognised in digital and tech awards

BATH, UK – 31st October 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — Zynstra, the pioneer in cloud managed server appliances for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) has been named Best Startup at #theSPARKies awards. Zynstra beat tough competition from Beacondo, Open Bionics, Ultraphatics and Wriggle to be awarded the title.

The awards ceremony, run by TechSPARK, brought together leading businesses and people from the technology industry within the Bristol and Bath technology cluster, recently highlighted by a McKinsey study for the government as the UK’s fastest growing and only globally significant technology hub outside London. TechSPARK’s mission is to highlight innovation in the region and drive it forward.

“Winning Best Startup at this year’s awards is great news for Zynstra and our team. The hard work and dedication that has been put into developing our Hybrid IT solution is really paying off. There are exciting times ahead,” said Nick East, CEO, Zynstra. “TechSPARK has done a great job with #theSPARKies. It was a real buzz to be at the awards amongst such great talent, based in the South West, and with global thinking.”

Speaking of their decision to award Zynstra Best Startup, the judges at #theSPARKies said: “A fantastic team that is making great progress in a very large market. A great example of a local team thinking global from day one in a tough enterprise market.”

Zynstra launched its Hybrid IT solution in July 2013 with the goal of redressing the balance between SMBs and larger enterprise IT. The company has developed a suite of products within its portfolio all designed to deliver the perfect blend of on-premise and cloud IT services, and with the economics typically associated with the public cloud.

Earlier this year Zynstra was also awarded ‘Most Innovative Product for SMB’ at the 2014 UK Cloud Awards. To date the company has received more than $14 million in funding to drive the business forward.
