LONDON, UK – November 28, 2014 — / — Databarracks has been named ‘Channel Provider of the Year’ at the annual SVC Awards, in light of its continual commitment to providing its partners with the skills, knowledge and technology to drive enterprise-class cloud services.

Taking place at the Montcalm Hotel in central London, the SVC Awards aim to reward the products, projects and services as well as honour companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualisation and storage sectors.

Databarracks has been providing managed, hosted and cloud services for over 11 years and in that time its sales have been both direct and indirect. In 2014 it created a completely new channel programme to enable targeted partners to re-sell its services, and as a result of the success of this programme it was awarded the top prize at the awards ceremony.

Peter Groucutt, managing director of Databarracks commented: “At Databarracks we have taken a unique approach to our partner programme and to have this recognised is a huge achievement that the entire company can be proud of. Our (de)Programme was introduced in February and our focus for this was to go against the traditional channel partner model.

“We moved away from the ‘programme’ part, and decided to focus much more on the partners themselves. We threw out the top-down, one-size-fits-all structure and, instead, focused on building specific collaborative relationships that play to the strengths of our partners on an individual basis. All partners have access to a dedicated portal containing the latest sales and marketing tools, and we provide an ongoing annuity stream for the lifetime of the contract between the end-user customer and Databarracks. We also heavily invest in partner demand generation activities.

“As a result of this, we are able to equip them with the skills, both from a technology and consultancy standpoint, that allows them to deliver the best possible cloud services tailored to their customers needs.”
