Continuum’s Jeff Walker Nominates Supervisor Joel Kennedy for Supporting His Participation in Pennsylvania Army National Guard and Reserve Force

CRANBERRY, PA – Dec. 11, 2014 — / — Joel Kennedy, Director of Technical Account Management at Continuum®, the industry’s only channel-exclusive provider of fully integrated managed IT services solutions, was presented with a Patriotic Employer Award by Jeff Walker, Technical Account Manager at Continuum, for supporting his participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force. Awarded to individual supervisors, the Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support Citizen Warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence, if necessary.

“I am in a specialized Infantry unit where, sometimes on short notice, I have to leave for longer training periods, which may exceed the standard one weekend a month and two weeks a year, taking me out of the office more than I would like,” said Jeff Walker. “Whenever I need time out of the office for training or activations, Joel has always been accommodating and understanding of my responsibilities.”

Jeff Walker has served the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for nearly 12 years where he was first an IT Specialist assigned to Headquarters Company 28th Signal Battalion upon completing the U.S. Army School of Information Technology. In 2007, he accepted a Commission as a Signal Officer. He was assigned to Alpha Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion 28th Infantry Division as a Signal Platoon Leader managing network connectivity for command and control of four Combat Brigades throughout Pennsylvania. He is currently the Battalion Communications Officer, S-6, with Headquarters 1st Battalion 112th Infantry Regiment (STRYKER), planning and managing Radio, Digital and Satellite Communication networks. As a Technical Account Manager at Continuum, Jeff assists the company’s Managed Services Provider (MSP) partners with technical enablement, ensuring they grow their business using Continuum’s products and services.

Joel Kennedy has served Continuum for a number of years, supervising the company’s Technical Account Managers. He was previously a Senior Analyst with Computer Consultant Team in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He also served Honeywell Electronic Materials for more than 13 years. Joel received a diploma, Computer Networking Specialist, from DCI Career Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
