MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – March 02, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — Tintri Inc., the leading producer of smart storage for virtualization and cloud environments, today announced that Michael McGuire has joined Tintri as Chief Sales Officer responsible for global sales. McGuire brings over 25 years of experience in the storage industry, leading multiple sales teams to achieve billion dollar plus sales goals at Dell, StorageTek, and SUN. In addition to extensive channel and international experience, Mike has also demonstrated a stellar record of building and scaling successful teams.

“Having just wrapped up another fiscal year of triple digit year-over-year growth, I am thrilled to have someone with Mike’s experience joining the executive team at Tintri,” said Ken Klein, Chairman and CEO of Tintri. “We continue to see strong momentum across all of the markets we serve. Mike’s broad experience will help us capitalize on two key areas of growth: driving greater channel leverage and expanding our presence in new markets. Mike’s background is perfectly suited to Tintri’s trajectory—he’s scaled sales teams, exceeded billion dollar sales goals, and led organizations through periods of hyper growth.”

“Mike’s arrival allows Tom Ellery, EVP Sales, to focus on the North America and Federal markets. Tom led Tintri’s sales organization through back-to-back years of triple-digit growth, and he’s the right person to further accelerate our sales in North America,” said Klein.

Mike joins Tintri from Dell where he held various executive roles since 2012, most recently as Vice President, North America Channels Sales, Enterprise Solutions Group. In this role, he drove greater focus and penetration of the enterprise channel business, selling servers, storage, networking, and converged infrastructure solutions. Prior to Dell, Mike worked at Nexsan Technologies where he served as Chief Commercial Officer. Under Mike’s leadership, the company doubled its revenues across 60 countries with continuous quarterly growth. Prior to Nexsan, Mike was responsible for the $1.2 billion storage business for North and South America at Sun Microsystems.

“I am excited to be joining one of the fastest growing companies in the industry, and a company that is providing an entirely new approach to maximizing storage efficiency for the marketplace” said McGuire. “Tintri is a breath of fresh air in an industry that desperately needs it. Having spent most of my career in storage, I am energized to introduce Tintri to millions of customers who have prioritized virtualization and cloud, and need storage that works at the virtual machine-level. With its fanatical customer base, Tintri has proven that it’s time to challenge the storage quo.”
