Marketing aces recognized for their accomplishments and the influence they wield over the technology channel

BURLINGTON, MA – June 1, 2015 — / — Unitrends today announced that Channel Marketing Manager Kelly Lowe and Director of Marketing Jennifer Sipala have been named to The Channel Company’s prestigious 2015 CRN® Women of the Channel list. The annual list honors outstanding female executives across vendor channel organizations, distributors, solution providers and other women prominently involved in the IT channel ecosystem for their successes and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward.

“These executives have made a lasting mark on the industry, expanding the breadth of influence in the technology channel,” said Robert Faletra, The Channel Company’s chief executive officer. “We congratulate the Women of the Channel, and celebrate their innovative contributions and commitment to the IT channel community.”

Over the past year, Lowe has significantly grown the company’s UniRewards partner loyalty program, which incentivizes every stage of the sales cycle by awarding cash to partners who support Unitrends’ products and services. UniRewards membership has grown by 80 percent since last year, and the program has expanded to segment views by partner type, function and region. Lowe was also recognized for building several channel lead generation programs that produced the most field marketing revenue in Unitrends’ history.

In 2014, Sipala was involved in aligning Unitrends’ channel sales and channel marketing organizations to simplify processes and increase channel revenue. As a result of this initiative, the company’s partners saw significant increases in their sales pipeline and benefited from a newfound ability to leverage the expertise of Unitrends’ marketing team to ensure continued growth. Sipala was also heavily involved in Unitrends’ acquisitions of PHD Virtual and Yuruware, and the integration of their channel programs, sales teams and marketing departments.

“Unitrends is profoundly committed to amplifying and investing heavily in its channel infrastructure and award-winning programs,” said Mike Dalton, Unitrends’ senior vice president of worldwide channels and international field operations. “Kelly and Jennifer have been instrumental in growing our channel program since its inception and will continue to play vital roles in helping the company roll out a brand new, highly personalized partner initiative later this year which will educate and energize partners by combining community, loyalty-building and enablement.”
