EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – June 08, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — RingStor, LLC, an East Brunswick, New Jersey-based software developer officially released the next version of the Ringstor Enterprise Solution. The RingStor Enterprise solution offers a web-based “community” console with the ability to, with minimal agents perform backup and recovery across multiple platforms while connecting to public clouds, using existing infrastructure to create a dedicated private cloud, and/or connect to an FTP server, and/or integrate other supporting solutions via an Open API. The new release will incorporate VMWare backup/recovery capability in addition to the standard multi-platform (Windows, Linux, MAC, SQL, Exchange) ability already present. Oracle and Linux server backup/recovery is next up and planned for summer release.
Launched in 2011, RingStor Enterprise, designed by a former CommVault engineer, eliminates dependency on third party hardware, multiple incumbent solutions, and can even eliminate the need to use external cloud solutions. It is the “brains” and will automate, report, schedule, manage in a holistic way all enterprise backup and recovery process execution. Deployed on a Windows machine or web-based, it creates a highly secure, user controlled, backup and recovery management capability and reduces TCO significantly.
Key Features include:
Multi-Platform Backup
Rachel Schneider, Director Business Development noted: “RingStor represents a leap over traditional backup/recovery solutions which are more limited in scope and usually more expensive. As a software, it eliminates dependencies on incumbent hardware such as appliances mandate. Users of the software are impressed by the performance, versatility, and user-friendliness of the solution. We continue to adapt and build capabilities in line with customer needs.”
The RingStor Enterprise Software is in use by MSP’s, Resellers, and direct commercial entities here and abroad including some of the largest MSP and reseller organizations. The software is rapidly deployed and can accommodate any infrastructure scenario with scalability, security, and greater user control.
