LONDON, UK – 7th December 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — iland, an award-winning enterprise cloud infrastructure provider, today announced that it has been awarded a place on the G-Cloud framework agreement for the supply of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). Under the UK Government G-Cloud framework, iland will deliver flexible, cost-effective and secure infrastructure-as-a-service solutions from data centres in London and Manchester, including Enterprise Cloud Services with Advanced Security and Compliance, Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service and Cloud Backup with Veeam Cloud Connect. Combining secure, best-in-class infrastructure with unmatched customer support and an innovative management console, iland meets UK customers’ demands for cloud agility.

G-Cloud framework is the agreement between the government and suppliers who provide cloud-based services and includes cloud technology and support. G-Cloud services are divided into four categories IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Specialist Cloud Services. Through the framework, suppliers can provide public sector buyers with cloud-based services. With advanced security features including vulnerability scanning, encryption, intrusion detection, anti-virus and anti-malware combined with an award winning management console, iland is bringing the next generation of cloud IaaS solutions to UK Government entities.

“We are delighted that iland has been awarded a place on the G-Cloud framework for the supply of IaaS from our strategically located clouds based in London and Manchester. Our longstanding commitment to unmatched support and technological innovation in the UK will always remain a constant, and our customers continue to report very high levels of satisfaction that defines our success,” said Brian Ussher, President, iland.

The G-Cloud framework is provided by The Crown Commercial Service (CCS), and offered via the Digital Marketplace. The Crown Commercial Service is a public sector organisation working on behalf of the public sector to save money for the public sector and the taxpayer. The CCS acts on behalf of the Crown to drive savings for the taxpayer and improve the quality of commercial and procurement activity. CCS’ procurement arrangements can be used by central government departments and organisations across the public sector including local government, health, education, not-for-profit and devolved administrations.

Earlier this year, iland was also named a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery and it has been recognised on Penton Technology’s eighth-annual MSPmentor 501 Global Edition, a distinguished list and report identifying the world’s top 501 managed service providers (MSPs). iland’s performance in delivering hosted cloud and disaster recovery services also earned the company a spot in the top ten percent of the list and it has also been ranked as a leader in Forrester Research, Inc.’s report entitled, “The Forrester Wave™: Disaster-Recovery-As-A-Service Providers, Q1 2014.” – http://info.iland.com/jan2014/draas-forrester-wave
