SINGAPORE, 16 March, 2016 — /BackupReview.info/ — Tintri Inc., a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualisation and cloud environments, today announced Chee Keong (CK) Chan has been named as Tintri’s Senior Sales Director for Asia Pacific.

As Senior Sales Director, Chan is responsible for driving growth and opportunities for the company’s products and solutions in Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and South Korea. Prior to joining Tintri, Chan was a Senior Sales Director at cloud storage vendor Panzura, where he was instrumental in helping grow the team in the region. Before that, Chan was responsible for building the vertical and channel strategy for Asia at EMC Isilon. Chan has also held various sales roles at leading technology companies Data Domain, NetApp, Adaptec and Micropolis.

According to Michael McGuire, Chief Sales Officer at Tintri, the new leadership appointment will help Tintri to expand its footprint in Asia. “I’m pleased to welcome CK to the Tintri team,” said McGuire. “Many markets in Asia Pacific are already highly virtualised, which makes them ideally suited to Tintri’s application-centric architecture. A growing footprint across the region will help us reach new customers and better serve current customers that are adding or expanding data centers.”

“As virtualisation adoption grows across Asia Pacific, Tintri is poised to tap into the market with our all-flash storage platform. It’s an exciting time for Tintri—organisations that have prioritised virtualisation and/or cloud need VM-aware storage. Tintri will help them simplify management, reduce expenses and focus on the applications that matter to their business.”
