Ahsay and Taiwan-based eSTORAGE Enter into Distribution Agreement To Expedite Expansion in Taiwan’s Backup Software Market

HONG KONG, Apr 21, 2016 — /BackupReview.info/ — Ahsay Backup Software Development Company Limited (“Ahsay” or the “Group”; stock code: 8290), the largest backup software provider in Hong Kong, has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Ahsay Systems Corporation Limited (“Ahsay HK”) and eSTORAGE Technology Corp. (“eSTORAGE”), a company incorporated in Taiwan, the Republic of China (“Taiwan”), have entered into a distribution agreement. eSTORAGE is principally engaged in the provision of backup services targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Taiwan. Through the cooperation, Ahsay can more effectively provide its backup software products to SMEs in Taiwan.

Under the distribution agreement, Ahsay HK has granted eSTORAGE a non-exclusive license for two years to distribute, sell and deliver certain backup software products under the trademarks and trade names of Ahsay HK as its distributor in Taiwan. The cost of all returns from customers and all after-sales support services related to the products is to be borne by eSTORAGE unless otherwise specified.

According to Frost & Sullivan, the global backup solutions market has witnessed healthy and stable development momentum in recent years. Along with the prominent expansion of cloud-based online backup services, the backup market is expected to enjoy a rapid growth in the following years with a CAGR of 11.4% from 2014 to 2019. Moreover, Asia Pacific is estimated to be the most promising region whose five-year revenue growth may reach 13.3% because of the influences on technical progress and market consciousness.

The Small and Medium Enterprise Administration under the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan announced information related to SMEs in Taiwan in June 2015. According to the data released by the Fiscal Information Agency, Ministry of Finance, there were 1,353,049 SMEs in operation in Taiwan, accounting for 97.61% of total number of enterprises in the region, demonstrating the huge potential customer base in the Taiwan market.
