Gartner’s “Cool Vendors” report identifies companies who are considered to be uniquely innovative, impactful and intriguing

SUNNYVALE, CA – April 28, 2016 – / — Datrium, the leader in server powered storage, today announced it has been named a “Cool Vendor” in the 2016 Gartner Cool Vendors in Storage Technologies report. The report evaluates interesting, new and innovative storage vendors that can assist organizations in meeting their infrastructure agility, data center modernization and cost containment initiatives.

The report can be found at

“We are thrilled to be recognized as a Gartner Cool Vendor in Storage,” said Brian Biles, CEO of Datrium. “Gartner is by far the most influential IT analyst firm, and we feel this is a clear validation of the early customer reaction we’ve seen with the DVX.”

Datrium DVX is the first Enterprise storage system to split server-powered speed and data services from appliance-based durable capacity, dramatically simplifying storage management. The DVX is the first storage system to get faster with every server, enabling higher performance than all-flash arrays at half the $/GB of hybrid arrays, with more flexibility than Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
