Addition of Technology Expands Intelligent Recovery and Data Access Platform

DRAPER, Utah – Sept. 20, 2016 — /BackupReview.info/ — StorageCraft Technology Corp. today announced that it has acquired Gillware Online Backup to expand its existing cloud, recovery and backup platform. The Gillware Online Backup solution uses sophisticated analytics to identify the data that should be backed up and the data that should not. The identification of an intelligent tiered data architecture provides rapid access to mission-critical information at times when it is needed most. The Gillware team of data experts will continue to operate out of its office in Madison, Wis.

Effective immediately, existing Gillware and StorageCraft partners will have full access to the products via the Gillware portal. All products will be available globally via StorageCraft’s partner portal in November.

StorageCraft’s acquisition of Gillware Online Backup is the latest in a series of moves that is rapidly enhancing the company’s suite of intelligent data protection solutions, increasing its global presence and strengthening its research and development team. The moves have not gone unnoticed as the company has recently received numerous awards, including StorageCraft’s Medeiros named the No. 1 Top Innovator in the IT Channel by CRN.

While additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed, Medeiros did state that the funding for the deal did not involve debt but comes from recent growth in operating cash flow.
