On September 25th – The Data Science Association hosted SoCal Data Science Conference 2016 in Trojan Grand Ball Room

LOS ANGELES, CA – Oct. 11, 2016 — /BackupReview.info/ — The event showcased the value, social impact and contribution to technological advancements of data science in academic research, industrial implementation and policies making.

“Data science is never a standalone discipline,” said Jason Geng, Data Science Association’s board president and CEO of Data Application Lab. “Only by collaborating and applying it to real world problems, can it make full use of its power.”

Speakers from companies, schools, and city of Los Angeles gave over 20 talks in five sessions, covering machine learning, distributed data storage, data security and data visualization. The implementation of big data and data science in marketing & advertising, education and finance were intensively discussed.

This conference also provided a great opportunity for students in school to connect with leading data scientist and data engineer, and get better understanding of the technology evolution and requirement from job market.

About Data Science Associations Our mission is to create a data science learning forum where we will bring together business and academic leaders, professionals, promising students and entrepreneurs. Our conference will demonstrate cutting edge technology, offer unique insight into real-world applications with machine learning and data science, and provide attendees a platform to expand their career networks.
