Industry-leading data protection and availability solution scoops UK Cloud Hosting Award

LONDON, UK – 9th November 2016 – / – Arcserve, LLC, the first provider of simple, unified data protection for cloud, virtual and physical environments, today announced its Arcserve Cloud solution has been named the Disaster Recovery Product of 2016 by Cloud Hosting Magazine. The award winner is decided through a combination of storage industry votes and a panel of judges.

The Arcserve Cloud is fully integrated with Arcserve’s Unified Data Protection (UDP) solution suite, and is an easy-to-deploy, cost-effective solution for comprehensive offsite data protection and availability. Encompassing enterprise-grade capabilities such as global deduplication, encryption, compression and WAN-optimized replication, the benefits of the cloud service include:

  • Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS): Eliminate the need for dedicated hardware and the associated costs.
  • Long-Term Data Retention: Cloud storage provides long-term retention as an alternative to local disk or tape, ensuring data is protected and available.
  • Automated Disaster Recovery Testing: Users easily test application failover to ensure recovery plan efficiency and accuracy.

The award is just one of many that Arcserve has won in the last 12 months. Other accolades include the Storage Awards’ disaster recovery and backup product of the year for Arcserve UDP and service to the industry award for Arcserve UK and Ireland territory director Richard Massey. Arcserve CEO Mike Crest was added to CRN’s list of channel chiefs earlier this year and named 2016 Titan of Technology by the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal.

Arcserve Northern Europe sales director Giovanni Goduti said, “The Arcserve Cloud is a crucial component of our data protection and availability solution suite by providing easy-to-use, high performance, reliable cloud backup and recovery. It’s a real honour for us that the storage industry and the Cloud Hosting Magazine judges have recognised what an impact Arcserve Cloud makes on our customers.”

Partners in Arcserve’s partner program leverage the Arcserve Cloud to extend their solution portfolio with a data protection platform that removes the need to purchase and manage multiple
cloud solutions.
