Innovative delivery model targets underserved sectors of $130B technology market

TIGARD, OR – Dec. 14, 2016 — /BackupReview.info/ — Uplevel Systems, provider of managed information technology (IT) services to small business (SMB) IT consultants, today announced the production release of its new Unbox solution for easily delivering a comprehensive IT infrastructure to small-to-medium businesses (SMBs). Unbox equips managed service providers (MSPs) with a turnkey platform for scaling their businesses by offering Wi-Fi, networking, data storage and backup, and security, with cloud-based management. Delivering services through Uplevel’s innovative subscription-based model allows consultants targeting the SMB sector of the $130B IT market to provide comprehensive managed services using highly-integrated hardware onsite and remote monitoring and support via the cloud.

“The Unbox model enables IT consultants to offer IT infrastructure services to their clients while minimizing time spent travelling to and from customer sites,” said Craig Mathias of the advisory firm Farpoint Group. “Consultants can offer the wide variety of technology services that businesses rely upon and use the Unbox management dashboard to troubleshoot problems, prevent security breaches, repair failed backups, and deal with many other common occurrences that have historically required emergency on-site visits.”

In November, Uplevel announced that it raised $1.2M in funding that is being used to cultivate and enable a nationwide channel of IT consultants specializing in servicing SMBs. Joining the Uplevel Partner Program positions consultants/MSPs to receive high margin on equipment and services, along with sales and technical training, demo equipment, marketing collateral and other tools and enablement.

Uplevel’s Hybrid Managed Services model incorporates hardware, software, and “anywhere, anytime” cloud management in a unique, all-inclusive subscription model. This approach brings true enterprise-class technology and services to customers with fewer than 25 employees, quickly and with no upfront investment.

“Up until now, small companies have had to choose between making do with consumer-grade technology products from office supply stores, or over-investing in expensive, high-end systems they aren’t prepared to maintain,” says Fabio Videira, President of Fort Worth-based IT consultancy Technoideas. “With the Unbox solution from Uplevel, these companies now have access to the best of both worlds: A higher-performing network infrastructure designed for the needs of smaller companies, and ongoing, remote management by IT professionals—without having to buy new gear or hire new staff.”

Services available today via the Unbox platform include wired and Wi-Fi networking, virtual private networks (VPNs), data backup and storage, firewall, routing, and enhanced data and network security services. IT consultants can manage services from any Internet-connected smartphone, tablet, or PC. Automatic notifications and drill-down diagnostics promote easy, proactive troubleshooting. These services are delivered on enterprise-class hardware for business-grade reliability and dependability.

“Our solutions are built to level the playing field for small companies and the IT consultants who uniquely understand and address their business needs,” says Uplevel Systems CEO Tom Alexander. “Smaller businesses using Unbox managed services benefit from business-class IT infrastructure with fewer outages and security events, and the security of having trusted consultants watch over their systems.”
