Worldwide Growth Validates Demand for Zadara Storage Enterprise Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS)

IRVINE, Calif. – Jan. 31, 2017 — /BackupReview.info/ — Zadara® Storage, the provider of award-winning, enterprise–class storage-as-a-service (STaaS) today announced record revenue in 2016, and records in almost every category of growth. The company’s continued success demonstrates the excellent alignment between the market requirement for OpEx-based, flexible storage solutions and the Zadara Storage Cloud Enterprise Storage-as-a-Service Solution.

Market research has predicted that the storage-as-a-service market will grow from about 16% of the overall storage market in 2016, to at least 80% by 2023 (source: IT Brand Pulse, October 2016). Zadara Storage addresses this rapid market transition by offering a unique and disruptive storage solution that is available in any location (cloud, on-premise and hybrid), supporting any data type (block, file and object), and connecting to any protocol (FC, iSCSI, iSER, NFS, CIFS, S3 and Swift).

“Market demand for enterprise storage-as-a-service was exceptional in 2016,” said Nelson Nahum, CEO and co-founder of Zadara Storage. “It is clear that the market is making a dramatic transition from traditional CapEx-based storage to flexible, scalable, elastic OpEx-based Storage-as-a-Service, and Zadara Storage is well-positioned to satisfy this demand.”

2016 highlights included:

  • Zadara Storage increased its expansion rate vs. 2015, with continued exponential sales growth of more than 2.5x (3-year CAGR).
  • Zadara International (non-US) sales grew 4x Year-over-Year (YoY).
