AUSTIN, TX – July 11, 2017 – /BackupReview.info/ — Spanning Cloud Apps LLC, the leading provider of SaaS data protection, today announced the expansion of its executive team to help the company meet the increasing demand for its backup and recovery solutions for SaaS applications. As the company continues to grow across the globe and expand its product portfolio, these new appointments will help fuel product innovation and sales growth.

Taps Former SolarWinds Executives to Drive Sales
Chad Savoy has joined Spanning as Vice President, Worldwide Sales, where he will develop strategies to help the company achieve its aggressive sales goals. Prior to joining Spanning, Chad served as Vice President of Sales at Vyopta Incorporated. He has also held Vice President of Sales positions at Datadog, Cornerstone OnDemand and SolarWinds, where he helped create and refine the SolarWinds sales process. Spanning has also appointed former SolarWinds executive Paul Strelzick to its Board of Directors as Executive Chairman. With extensive experience building efficient and profitable sales models and growth strategies, Paul will help guide Spanning in its post-divestiture growth phase. Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of Unitrends, a leading provider of enterprise backup and continuity solutions and also acts as an advisor and consultant to several Insight Venture Partners portfolio companies.

“We have doubled our year-over-year sales for the past three quarters,” said Jeff Erramouspe, CEO, Spanning. “We plan to build on this success and further accelerate our growth with the addition of Chad and Paul to the team.”

With over 20 years of experience, Andrea oversees all facets of product engineering from development to DevOps. She is focused on delivering high-value, highly available products to the growing customer base while at the same time cultivating an engaging engineering environment that fosters innovation and professional growth.

Brian Rutledge, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), has come on board as Principal Security Engineer, bringing 20 years of IT security experience across various aspects of the SaaS, cloud, consulting and telecommunications industries. Prior to that, he served for more than 15 years as Systems Consultant, cloud services, compliance and program management, for Verizon Wireline. He has also served as Systems Admin, Operations, for MCI Telecommunications, and wafer process electronics and equipment technician for Motorola Semiconductor.

“Along with our aggressive sales plans, we continue to delight our customers with our focus on building the best and most secure SaaS backup and recovery solutions,” continued Erramouspe. “Adding Brian and promoting Andrea, both of whom are truly passionate about their work, strengthens our team and helps us foster an environment that successfully encourages innovation.”
