The SAP® Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that Bacula Enterprise Edition 8.8 integrates with SAP HANA using standard integration technologies to deliver:

  • Native integration with SAP HANA, allowing backup and restore without manual steps
  • Ability to migrate from legacy databases to SAP HANA, using one backup and recovery platform
  • Native integration with both public and private clouds
  • Comprehensive deduplication capabilities

Partner offerings that have certified integration with SAP HANA are content, technology or infrastructure products that are proven to interoperate with the SAP HANA platform. Directly answering the IT industry’s challenge of exploding data volume with a low-cost subscription model that does not charge by data volume, Bacula Enterprise Edition makes it far easier to predict storage and data volume costs – including unique tools for drastically reducing cloud data recovery costs. Bacula Systems customers include NASA, OUTFITTERY, Swisscom, Bank Austria and many more.

“We are delighted to announce that Bacula Enterprise Edition has certified integration with SAP HANA,” said Frank Barker, CEO, Bacula Systems. “Bacula Enterprise Editions’ particularly broad feature-set for large data centers and MSPs, combined with its policy of not charging by data volume, means companies can now free themselves from the proprietary shackles of their legacy backup and recovery vendor. This certification gives data centers using SAP HANA the choice to employ a proven, highly scalable backup and restore solution for their entire physical, virtual and cloud environments, regardless of architecture – all from a single platform.”

“Bacula’s SAP HANA certification gives our customers more choice, and allows us to exploit our own expertise to manage their datacenters and SAP software clusters more efficiently and cost-effectively,” said Stefan Dunsch, Head of Professional Services at itesys AG, one of the largest service providers purely for SAP Basis in Switzerland.
