DENVER, CO – Oct. 23, 2018 — / — Faction, the Multi-Cloud Platform as a Service provider, is announcing a partnership with Cohesity, the leader of hyperconverged secondary storage, to deliver a managed solution that simplifies, strengthens and extends an organization’s data protection strategy.

As a Cohesity service provider, Faction has unveiled a suite of data protection services, including, disaster recovery as a service, and data backup as a service. Organizations can now consolidate secondary data silos in datacenters and public clouds with a single unified solution in a multi-cloud environment.

Faction recognized that organizations needed a solution that excelled at data archiving and that enabled IT teams to access and leverage data in the cloud with an easily-accessible platform. Clients can now run workloads simultaneously and take advantage of all feature sets across multiple hyperscalers with a fully integrated offsite disaster recovery or backup strategy.

“Our relationship with Faction enables differentiated managed services for our customers,” said David Kosman, head of global cloud service providers, Cohesity. “Faction’s Multi-Cloud Platform as a Service offering allows our customers to easily integrate the Cohesity DataPlatform with public cloud providers, further eliminating secondary data silos while building a unified multi-cloud strategy.”

“We set out to build a fully managed data protection offering because we hear our customers say that they are no longer want to think about their data protection strategy, they just want a solution that meets RTO/RPO requirements,” said John Drake, vice president of strategic alliances, Faction. “With Cohesity, we are able to deliver these benefits along with the customer only needing to interact with the environment as much as they need to.”

As Drake explains, “For Faction, to complete our Multi-Cloud Platform as a Service we needed to deliver a unified data protection solution that outperforms all other secondary data solutions in the market today. Faction now has the flexibility to provide managed services for small to large enterprises, with a complete data protection solution that is deployable in minutes.”

Many organizations are finding data protection to be overwhelming and are seeking Faction for not only day-to-day management but also to ensure all data in the public cloud is 100% protected. This cloud-based data protection model is ideal for organizations that are looking to also get out of the business of managing hardware and seeking a way to get data offsite and bring it back up if a disaster occurs, both rapidly and cost-effectively.

Faction’s Data Protection as a Service with Cohesity is currently deployed near two major public cloud locations, Reston, VA and Portland, OR, to meet low-level millisecond latency. Learn more about Data Protection Services, here —
