Customer and partner demand drives expansion into Melbourne

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Nov. 06, 2018 — / — In response to increased demand from enterprises, partners and SaaS providers in Australia, award-winning global cloud service provider, iland, today expanded its geographic reach by adding a new cloud region in Melbourne. The new region will support iland’s full suite of secure cloud services, built on top of iland’s Secure Cloud Platform, including Infrastructure as a Service, Disaster Recovery as a Service and Backup as a Service.

The new region allows customers to replicate and backup their iland cloud services between Melbourne and Sydney, maintaining data sovereignty within Australia, and offering an added layer of resiliency to their virtual workloads. As iland’s ninth global data centre, the Melbourne location strengthens iland’s presence in Asia-Pacific Region (APAC) complimenting its existing cloud regions in Singapore and Sydney, and its global cloud regions in the Americas and EMEA.
