Druva Welcomes New General Counsel and Chief Technologist

Jung-Kyu McCann will serve as general counsel and Stephen Manley joins as chief technologist as Druva prepares for the next phase of growth

Leading Druva’s legal team, McCann will be responsible for helping the company scale its legal function, expand compliance capabilities, and prepare for future growth. Manley will oversee Druva Labs and lead collaboration between the company’s go-to-market teams and customers, ensuring Druva’s product vision meets customer needs for today and prepares them for tomorrow.

Prior to joining Druva, McCann served as associate general counsel at Broadcom, where she focused on corporate finance and strategic transactions, such as the acquisition of CA Technologies. Before Broadcom, she spent four years at Apple, where she strengthened the company’s corporate governance framework and raised more than $100 billion in the global bond markets.

Manley joins Druva from Nuvoloso, where he spearheaded the startup’s development of data management for cloud applications. Prior to that, as chief technology officer of the Data Protection Group at Dell EMC, Stephen championed self-service, deduplicated data protection. Prior to that, he was a senior technical director of data protection at NetApp, where he led the evolution from legacy tape backups to disk-based snapshots and replication. He has partnered with customers around the world to develop products to help solve their data management challenges.

McCann and Manley are the latest to join Druva’s executive team, following the recent appointments of Thomas Been as chief marketing officer and Holly Cafiero as chief human resources officer. In July, Druva also appointed Bill Losch, chief financial officer at Okta, to its board of directors.
