Through “Resilient, Together” platform, cloud solutions provider offers support to Feeding America

Pittsburgh, PA – 14 April 2020 — / — Expedient, a leading enterprise cloud computing, disaster recovery as a service, and data center infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider, today announced that it has made a $100,000 donation to Feeding America to help provide meals to people facing hunger during the current COVID-19 crisis.

Feeding America is a nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. Feeding America will direct Expedient’s donation to food banks in the communities in which Expedient has a data center or cloud point of delivery, including the Greater Boston Food Bank; Greater Cleveland Food Bank; Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank; Mid-Ohio Food Bank (Columbus); Gleaner’s Food Bank (Indianapolis, IN); Mid-South Food Bank (Memphis, TN); Maryland Food Bank (Baltimore); and St. Mary’s Food Bank (Arizona).

In addition to its $100,000 corporate donation, Expedient is also collaborating with Feeding America to enable individual contributions from its employees nationwide.

Lisa Scales, President and CEO of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, said, “We are deeply grateful for Expedient’s support. The Food Bank is committed to keeping the community fed during the entirety of this crisis. Expedient’s gift will help to ensure all of our neighbors, especially those who are recently unemployed, have enough food to eat every day.”
